MetaboLights and AIBIO-UK workshop
Reproduced from the original LinkedIn post.
Come visit EBI and join the discussion on the use of AI to further the metabolomics field.
Personally, I’ll be looking to learn and contribute in some current areas of interest, including:
- Automated dataset metadata annotation, either at submission or during retrospective curation.
- The role of semantics, ontologies/controlled vocabularies, and knowledge graphs in enabling accurate AI accelerated metabolomics.
- The intersection between AI and chemistry, specifically effective chemical structure and name handling.
- Current methods in molecular/spectral networking, parameterless peak-picking, and in silico spectral prediction.
This is a timely and well-targeted workshop, co-located with the ELIXIR metabolomics community meeting. I anticipate a highly productive meeting driven by a critical mass of scientists, developers, informaticians and more, bringing experiences from a cross-section of scientific domains. Registration is open (link below) - I hope to see you there!

🚀 Particularly excited about this one…
What will it take to unlock the potential of public data to power AI at scale in metabolomics?
| On Friday 23 October, #MetaboLights and #AIBIOUK will bring the metabolomics and AI communities together at European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI, Hinxton, UK, to explore exactly that. |
🧠 AI + metabolomics: real-world use cases
🌐 Public data: opportunities, barriers and priorities
🔗 AI-ready data: context, semantics and provenance
💡 Working together: connect, share and shape
Whether your work spans #Metabolomics, #AI or beyond - academia or industry - we would love to have you join us and help build what comes next. 🚀
👉 Registration is now open: https://lnkd.in/e4W5uM7C
The workshop is co-located with the ELIXIR Metabolomics Community Meeting (21-22 October).
